Roland "Rollie" Wallace's Obituary
Roland J, "Rollie" Wallace, 92 of Oshkosh died Sunday,April 8, 2012 at Park View Health Center. He was born August 9, 1919 in Oshkosh the son of Alex and Mary Meixl Wallace. Rollie served his country in the US Army during WWII. After the Army he worked as a Yardman at Nofke Lumber for his best boss, Hank Nofke. He is survived by two daughters, Jeanne (Al) Murawski of Van Dyne and Carol (Jim) Ledwith of Oshkosh. Three sons, Jim (Linda) of Wichita, Kansas, Dave (Ren'e) of Fitchberg and Pat (Kim) Wallace of Oshkosh. His grandchilren, Gina (Matt) Knudsen of CA; Derek (Jill) and Jennifer Wallace of Wichita, Avery and Halley Wallace of Fitchberg, Nick Wallace of Tony WI, Melissa (Rick) of Burlington, Mike Murawski of Van Dyne, Nicol (Mark) Binder of Omro, Chad (Christin) Gunther, Erik And Maci Wallace all of Oshkosh. He is furthwer survived by 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Loretta Freeman and Bernice Orr. Memorial services for Rollie will be Thursday April 12, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Fiss and Bills Poklasny Funeral Home, the Rev. Matt Simonar officiating. Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home Thursday from 10am until the time of services. Rollies family would like to thank Gabriel's Villa and to his Fresenius Dialysis Family at Mercy. A Memorial has been established.
