RONALD PAUL HASSLER's Obituary
Ronald P Hassler, age 72, of Oshkosh, died Sunday December 23, 2018 after battling different cancers for thirteen years. He was born in Oshkosh on June 7, 1946 the son of the late Paul and Shirley (Blakeske) Hassler. He graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1964. Ron proudly served his country in the U S Navy during the Viet Nam War. He was a 3rd class Engineman On the USS Dixie and the USS Askari. He married Barb Fauske in Oshkosh on February 15, 1969. Ron enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing, Packer games, playing the lottery, supporting local watering holes, and feeding birds, and squirrels in his yard. He worked at Rockwell, then at Oshkosh Motor Truck and owned RPH Roofing. He was Catholic by faith.
Ron is survived by his wife; Barb Hassler, of Oshkosh, one daughter; Wendy (Joe) Jungwirth, Oshkosh,two sons; Shannon (Dianne) Hassler, Oshkosh, Evan (HollyAnn) Bokowicz, Oshkosh five grandchildren; Austin Hassler, Kaely (Ryan Owen) Jungwirth, Oshkosh, Jacob Jungwirth, Brooklynn Hassler, Ezra Becker, three great-grandchildren; Caysen, Oliver, Charlotte, two sisters; Sharon (Skip) Boyce and Roxanne (Dave) Lemieux, two sister-in-laws; Judy (Jim) Martinez, Oshkosh and Sue Clark, Oshkosh. Two Brother’s-in law; Jeff Fauske, (Amy) Oshkosh and Gary Fauske, (Sue) Oshkosh. Ron is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother; Paul K Hassler Jr. and his mother and father-in-law Clarence and Ann Fauske.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 29, at 11:00 AM in St Raphael Catholic Church in Oshkosh with the Rev Tom Long officiating. Full Military Honors will follow at the church. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the hour of services.
