Rosemary Marie Schultz's Obituary
Rosemary M Schultz, 82, fought the good fight and finished the course, and she did it well. She was surrounded by family when the Lord called her name on December 5, 2022. Up until a year ago she was "so darn healthy!" She was born June 11, 1940 to Clarence and A. Jane Rankin. At 12, she went to bible camp and made a decision to accept Christ, a decision that would change her young family's life a few years later. On November 2, 1957 she married a young marine, Russell Schultz. Things were hard in their early years with 4 little girls, but she was strong, independant, hardworking, opinionated, and loyal. She always looked on the sunny side and reminded us, "you can choose to be happy." She went back to her early roots of taking her little girls to church; she grew in her faith and the girls loved going to church. The Lord never left her and continued to guide her through the years. For years there were many prayers for her husband, and he also gave his life to Jesus at 36 and lived for Him for the rest of his life. The family changed drastically for the better - they were then blessed with a son, Jess Russell.
Rose lived a life of service; she could figure out and make a dinner for 200. She prepared Holiday Dinners at church for decades with her hard work and directing others- "I'll let you do that." For the Christian school, she made baked goods and 100's of pies for fundraisers. She was very social, loved various activities, and her competitive spirit loved playing cards and board games with friends, family, and grandkids. She enjoyed crocheting afghans for family weddings, doing puzzles, and driving her buick (ROSE SC) to Colorado to see her family. She was always doing something , whether it was packing, moving, cleaning, babysitting, or making meals or cookies. Rose always seemed confident in everything she did; she could get a job anywhere, trying just about everything, making friends along the way, welcoming people into her home when they needed a place to stay.
Her history is part of our family's history, she leaves a legacy of faith, love and commitment.
