Rudolph Penzenstadler, Jr.'s Obituary
Rudolph Penzenstadler, Jr., passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 in Evergreen Manor after a brief illness. He was born in Oshkosh on September 17, 1930 to Rudolph, Sr., and Marie (Hergert) Penzenstadler. He married Rita Binder on December 1, 1956 in Oshkosh. She preceded him in death on July 4, 1990. Rudy or "Junior" as most called him lived life to the fullest. A graduate of Oshkosh State College in 1960, Rudy saw the world while serving with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was an executive director with the Boy Scouts of America and worked for Melvin Hergert Painting and a much appreciated bar tender at Repps and Robbins. He was a gifted golfer in his college years, and a lover of history all of his life. In his later years, his greatest hobby was spending time with his grandchildren, often seeing them off to school, chauffeuring them everywhere and even cooking dinner when schedules were tight.
He is survived by his children: Steven (Diane) Penzenstadler and Dawn (Gerald) Clark, Jr., as well as his four grandchildren: Nicholas Penzenstadler, Hunter, Tucker and Kennedy Clark. He is further survived by his sister: Shirley (Loren) Soderbeck and many other extended family.
The family wishes to thank Evergreen Manor, Creekview North, Household #2 for their extraordinary care and compassion to Dad and our family as well as Eunice, Becky and Jenny with Heartland Hospice for their care and guidance.
Funeral services for Rudy will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 7:00 p.m., in the FISS & BILLS FUNERAL HOME, 865 S. WESTHAVEN DRIVE. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m., until the time of services in the funeral home.
