Ruth Ross' Obituary
Ruth H. Ross, age 89, of Oshkosh passed away on Saturday morning December 29, 2012 at Park View Health Center. She was born in Manawa, WI on August 5, 1923 the daughter of Homer F. and Lydia (Manthe) Baldwin. She graduated from Little Wolf High School in 1941. She married Robert Ross on July 8, 1949 at Algoma Blvd United Methodist Church. She was employed at Wisconsin Axle for many years in the sales office. Ruth was a member of the Scarlet Swingers Red Hat Club, Volunteer at Aurora Hospital, Bunco Club, Utica Ladies Golf League, Kaffee Klatch, Bowling League and Several Card Clubs. Ruth is survived by three sons: Bob Ross of Redgranite; Chuck (Tammy) Ross of Oshkosh and Rick (Deb) Ross of Wabash, IN. One daughter: Lori (Jeff) Rhyner of Oshkosh and one step-son: Jim (Cynthia) Ross of Oshkosh. Three sisters: Muriel Blink, Marian Kroll and Justine Emnott. Two sisters-in-law: Elsie and Claire Baldwin. Fourteen grandchildren: Kris (Doug) Peterson, John Ross, Lindsay Ross, Alisha (Wes) Krzewina, Heather (Dan) Ehlke, Ashley Kartheiser, Mikayla Ross, Dave Rhyner, Adam (Chandra) Rhyner, Kendia Behrens, Craig (Shanna) Behrens, Robbie Ross, Stewart and Kim Ross. Fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, brothers: Earl, Robert and Victor Baldwin. Sisters: Ethel Baldwin and Audrey Peluso; brothers-in-law: Donald Blink, Frank Kroll and Jack Emnott. Sister-in-law: Loretta Baldwin, great grandson: Adrian Williams and granddaughter-in-law: Diedre Rhyner. Funeral services will be held on Friday January 4, 2013 at the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home @ 865 S. Westhaven Drive. Oshkosh, WI 54904 at 5pm. Rev. Barry Yarbro will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 2pm until 5pm. Private entombment will be held at Lake View Memorial Park. Ruth's family would like to thank the entire staff at Park View Health Center at Woodside North for the compassionate care they gave their mother and also a special thank you to nurse practitioner Mary Miller. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Ruth's name.
