Sally Kuklinski's Obituary
Sally Ann Kuklinski, 77, of Oshkosh passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, with family by her side and her beloved Rocky on her lap. She was born in Oshkosh April 19, 1935 the daughter of Oscar and Ann (Neustifter) Schmidt. She graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1953 and married Michael Kuklinski June 25, 1955 who preceded her in death on August 8, 2012.
Growing up, Sally dreamed of having a large family and was blessed with six children; three sons, Jerry who preceded her in death on July 9, 1978; Tim (Susan) Kuklinski of Armstrong Creek and Chris (Sue) Kuklinski of Appleton; three daughters, Vicki (Randy) Hartman, Lisa (Greg) Hughes and Holly Kuklinski all of Oshkosh. She was further blessed with nine grandchildren, Stephanie, Ben, Melinda and Gerald Kuklinski. Jake and Sam Kuklinski. Hannah and Blake Hartman and Adam Hughes.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother who also shared her many gifts with others as a nursing assistant at Mercy Medical Center and as a secretary for Dr. Downing for many years.
As a faithful member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, she cherished her Sunday morning routine.
Known as ‘Happy Sal’ to those closest to her, she was happiest when surrounded by family and friends enjoying her favorite activities such as watching Packer games, going to movies – especially if Julia Roberts was starring and playing games – she was a Yahtzee champion. She loved to bake and always greeted you with a warm smile and delicious treat. She had a fondness for taking walks and long drives always including Menominee Park in her route.
Always quick to laugh, with a loving heart and giving nature she was a rare and beautiful spirit. She was our Pretty Woman and will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank the Clarity Care staff for their humor and companionship, the Affinity Hospice staff for their compassion, empathy and friendship and the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab staff at Mercy Medical Center for their friendship and laughter.
Visitation will be held from 9:00a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 in St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, 830 S. Westhaven Drive, Oshkosh, WI 54904.
