Sandra Voelker's Obituary
Sandra E. Voelker, age 73, of Oshkosh, passed away after a brief illness on Decmber 13, 2011. She was born on May 16, 1938 in Waupaca, Wisconsin. She married Gerald James Voelker Sr. in Oshkosh on January 5, 1957. She greatly enjoyed gardening along with avidly sewing and spending time with her cats, Sidewinder and Dottie. Sandra's music love was that of Country music. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband Gerald J. Voelker Sr.; a son, Gerald (Charlene) Voelker Jr.; a daughter, Sally (Jon) Chase, all of Oshkosh; a sister, Sallie (Ron) Kautz of Florida; five grandchildren, Benjamin, Brianna, Brodee, Gunnar and Eva. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Richard and Jay. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011 in the Poklasny Funeral Home, 870 W. South Park Ave. in Oshkosh with the Rev. William Van DeKreeke officiating. Vistation will be held on Saturday at the Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund is being established.
