Sharon Ann Yearwood's Obituary
Sharon Ann Yearwood, age 69, passed away peacefully at her home with her family at her side on Friday morning, July 12, 2013. She was born on February 5, 1944 in Milwaukee, a daughter of the late Roy and Hazel (Voeltner) Sina. She married Raymond Yearwood on September 8, 1962 in Ripon, WI. Sharon had worked for and retired from the SNC Corporation in Oshkosh. She greatly enjoyed square dancing, collecting "Garfield" memorabilia. She also loved traveling and had traveled to Italy with her daughter Wendy.
She is survived by and her memory will be cherished by her husband, Ray of Oshkosh; a son, Christopher and a daughter, Wendy (Ken) Derby, both of Oshkosh; a brother, Tom (Alice) Sina of Ripon. Sharon is further survived by other relatives and many dear friends along with her companion dogs, Paco, Cookie, Moo and Elliott.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Sharon on Monday, July 15th, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Raphael Catholic Church, 830 S. Westhaven Dr. in Oshkosh. The Rev. Doug LeCaptain will celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow in Liberty Prairie Cemetery in Pickett. Friends may call at the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Dr. on Sunday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and also at the church only on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. There will be a Parish Prayer Service on Sunday at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Memorials in Sharon's name may be made to the Affinity VNA Hospice.
