Sherry Lynn Krueger's Obituary
Sherry Lynn Krueger of Oshkosh passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 29th, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 17th, 1970 in Appleton as the youngest child of Ron and Maxine (Spoehr) O'bright.
Sherry married her childhood sweetheart, David M Krueger, on April 26th, 1997 and together they have one daughter, Lisa. They met at a young age and had an everlasting love. Together, Sherry and David, are the proud owners of Woodchuck’s Bar and Grill, Oshkosh. For the past 15 years, she has been the friendly face who made everyone who walked through the doors feel welcome. Through darts and other events at Woodchucks, Sherry made some amazing friendships and will leave a lasting memory with many. She was that person who would do anything for anybody.
Sherry and Lisa had an incredibly strong mother daughter bond, a love and adoration that extended to her grandsons who she always spoke highly of. In addition to her husband, David, daughter Lisa (Derek) Rufer and grandsons Landon, Jaxson and Harrison, Sherry is survived by her parents Ron and Maxine, siblings; Douglas (Candice) O'Bright, Ronald (Marsha) O'Bright, and Lois Mataitis, all of Oshkosh, along with in-laws; Julie (John) Kaelin, Susan Krueger, Linda (Robert) Hurkman, and Garry (Lizette McCormick)Krueger, all of Oshkosh, Mary Schapekahm of Poy Sippi, Christine (Max) Gehrke of Panama City Beach, FL, and Cynthia Krueger of Racine. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Genevieve (Neubauer) and Gerhard Krueger.
Sherry will be greatly missed by all. Her amazing sense of humor and a gracious heart will live on in everyone she has touched. The family gives a special thank you to the Aurora VLCC, Radiation Oncology, and Hospice program for their invaluable support during her cancer battle.
A Celebration of life for Sherry will be held Saturday January 6th, 2024 from 2:00-6:00 pm.
