Shirley June (Bennett) Jacques' Obituary
Shirley June (Bennett) Jacques, age 90, passed away peacefully at her home on April 12, 2026, with her loving family by her side.
She was a devoted wife, full-time mother, and homemaker whose greatest joy was caring for her family. Shirley was a talented seamstress who loved sewing, making cards, scrapbooking, and crafting. She especially enjoyed coloring and drawing, always finding joy in creative expression. Some of her favorite places to shop were Hobby Lobby and Archiver’s, where she found inspiration for the many beautiful projects she lovingly created. She had a gift for writing beautiful poems and songs, each one reflecting the moments, memories, and emotions of her life. Through her words, she shared her heart, preserving the joys, struggles, and experiences that shaped her journey. Shirley also loved to dance and roller skate, bringing fun and warmth to those around her.
More than anything, Shirley loved her family. She was caring, supportive, quiet, and kind—a loving presence whose gentle ways made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She was a woman of faith and attended First Baptist Temple in Oshkosh and later Plymouth Church.
Shirley was previously married to Robert G. Bennett, her husband of 55 years, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Jacques and sister Janice M. Schabo.
She is also survived by her children: Rance G. Bennett (Kathy),
Mitchel J. Bennett, Kevin C. Bennett, Kim M. Thomson (John),
Robin L. Begrow, and Barbara J. Schatz (Christian); her grandchildren Jenny, Courtney, Brooke, Dustin, Libby, Shasta, Tyler, Zachary, Rachael, and Barrett; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert G. Bennett; her mother, Olga M. Ehrgott; her father, Ernest E. Ehrgott; her grandparents,
Ole and Amelia Skaugstad, and Caroline Ehrgott; her brothers,
James E. Ehrgott, Richard E. Ehrgott and Harvey R. Ehrgott; her sister,
