SIDNEY HOGUE's Obituary
Sidney H. Hogue Jr., age 88, formerly of Oshkosh, died Tuesday May 6, 2014 at Laurel Grove Assisted Living Facility in Manitowoc. He was born in Oshkosh on July 15, 1925 the son of the late Sidney and Rose Zarter Hogue Sr. Sidney married Geraldine Spanbauer on October 4, 1950 in Oshkosh. She preceded him in death in 1996. He served his country during WW II in the U.S. Navy. Sidney was employed and retired from the City of Oshkosh in its sanitation division. He enjoyed fishing, yard work, his large garden, bird watching, and was an avid Packer, and Notre Dame football fan. Sidney was catholic by faith.
Survivors include one son; David (Debra) Hogue, of Oshkosh, one daughter; Nancy Hogue, Manitowoc, two grandsons; Phillip Hogue, Patrick (Babe Kalulu) Hogue, and one great-grandson; Kekoa. Sidney is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother; Russell Hogue.
Funeral services for Sidney will be held in the Poklasny Funeral Home on Saturday May 10, at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00-4:00 PM.
