Stanley R. Henke's Obituary
Stanley R. Henke, age 85, of Oshkosh passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Country Villa in Omro. Stanley was born in Oshkosh on February 16, 1938 the son of Reuben and Edna (Wruck) Henke. On May 16, 1959 he married Kay Elyn Celichowski. Stanley was employed at Badger Oldsmobile as a mechanic for many years. Stanley will fondly be remembered for his love of his family and his Tractors. He was raised on a farm on the Southside of Oshkosh with a large family. His love of tractors stuck with him; he looked forward to parades each summer all over the area showing off his pride and joy along with his sons.
Stanley is survived by two sons, Mark (Annalisa) Henke of Oshkosh and Michael (Sara) Henke of Omro. Three grandsons, Dane (Dani) Munsch, Logan Henke and Garett Petraszak (Sydney). One great granddaughter, Raelynn Munsch and one great grandson, Steele Petraszak. Brothers and Sisters, Arlyn Henke, Oshkosh, Nancy Kemnitz, Eldorado, Joyce (Alvin) Levenhagen, Eldorado, Arden Henke, Fisk, Wayne (Beverly) Henke, Van Dyne, Carol (Tom) Henke, Oshkosh, Gloria (Mike) Hansen, Oshkosh, Sharon (Craig) Kleinschmit, Oshkosh, Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Donald, Robert and Bonnie and his wife Kay in 2022.
A celebration of life will be held at the Nekimi Town Hall at 3790 Pickett Rd, Oshkosh, WI 54904 on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 3 pm until the light snacks and beer run out. Stan's family encourages everyone to wear the color red, his favorite tractor color. Private family committal services will be held at a later date at Liberty Prairie Cemetery in Pickett, WI.
