Steven C Penzenstadler's Obituary
Steven C. Penzenstadler, 61, passed into the arms of our Heavenly Father on November 25, 2018 after a stubborn battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and friends in his final days and was happy to see everyone on Thanksgiving Day.
He was born on June 23, 1957 to Rita (Binder) and Rudolph Penzenstadler Jr. in Oshkosh where he lived his entire life. He married Diane Hintze on October 20, 1984. Steve was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish. Steve worked at various places making lasting friendships at each including Hoffmaster, Block Iron & Supply (a division of Sadoff and Rudoy Industries) and Lincoln Contractors Supply where he remained on the job until July. While making friends Steve earned many nicknames including: Penz, California, Steverino, Stever, Schnibby, Stick, Old Man, and Steven Universe. Steve was the life of every party and enjoyed golf, boating, cards, travel and most recently RV-ing all summer long. He loved his annual trips to Vegas with a growing entourage of family and friends and his weekly stops at Mabel Murphy's, Pete's Garage and Nigl's. Preceding Steve in death were his parents Rita and Rudy, in-laws, Neil and Rita Hintze and many dear extended family. He loved family.
Surviving him is his wife Diane, son Nick (Kate) and their soon-to-arrive,twin baby girls. The babies are what kept him going, but we now know he'll watch over them. He is further survived by his sister Dawn (Jerry) Clark and their children and grandchildren, sisters-in-law Cathy (Chris) Klenke, Linda (Mike) Artz, Jeanne(David) Chapman, brother-in-law Jim Hintze and sister-in law Patti Hintze and

Steve's family would like to express its gratitude to Lincoln Contractors Supply for being so generous and supportive during Steve's illness and to Dr. Shamsuddin Virani and the nurses and staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic, Oshkosh for giving us two and a half years with Steve after his diagnosis. We packed a lot into that time. Memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, Oshkosh.
