SUSAN JUNGWIRTH's Obituary
Susan A. Jungwirth, age 57, of Oshkosh, died unexpectedly at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton on September 1, 2014. She was born in Oshkosh on March 9, 1957, the daughter of Leonard and Dolores Poklasny Jungwirth. Sue attended St. Vincent's grade school, Lourdes High School and graduated from the School of Cosmetology. Throughout her professional career she was employed as a Hair Stylist and was currently working at J.C. Penney for the last seventeen years. Sue enjoyed being with friends and family, watching Packer games, lunch at the Roxy, making sauerkraut and especially cooking all the good food she learned from her mom. Her specialties were soups and desserts which her co-workers enjoyed often . Special sleepovers were spent with the Troiber children who called her "Sleepover Sue". She also was an avid fan and collector of Betty Boop memorabilia and sported a Betty Boop tattoo.
Survivors include her father, Leonard Jungwith, a sister, Monica Jungwirth and sister-in-law Suzanne (Paul's Susie) Jungwirth. She is further survived by many dear relatives and friends who will miss her everyday.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores Jungwirth, a brother, Paul Jungwirth and a sister, Jane Jungwirth.
Funeral services for Sue will be held at the Poklasny Funeral Home (870 W South Park Avenue) on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 1:00 PM with Deacon Pat Gelhar officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery at a later date. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.
Sue's family would like to extend a very special thank you to the Mercy Medical ICU staff and to Sue's special friends, Steph and Sydney, Carol, Julie and Allison, Cindy and Jeannie for all their loving care and support.
