Susan "Susie" Ann Dorow's Obituary
On the morning of May 8, 2018, Susan "Susie" Ann Dorow passed away peacefully at Bethel Home while surrounded by her children.
Susie was born in Oshkosh on January 30, 1937, the only daughter of Myles and Frieda (Kossl) Leuthold.
Susie graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1955. She was employed by Carolina Design Candle Company and formally Lenox for over 30 years. Susie also work for Field’s Family Restaurant for nearly 20 years as a cook. She retired in 2006, however she worked part time at Originals Antique Store in Oshkosh for a few years and later worked at Copps in Neenah putting together party trays. Susie enjoyed sewing, gardening, ceramics, and reading.
Susie most loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were a big bright spot in her life. She was so very proud of them all and would tell anyone that would listen. One of her favorite enjoyments in life was spending time with her girlfriends. Her friends were like family to her and she valued each and every one of them.
Survivors include her children, Mark (Valerie) Dorow of Fond du Lac, Kathie (Steve Koehler) Luttrell of Oshkosh, and Michael (Nancy) Dorow of Greenville; grandchildren, Miranda (Phillip) Prosser, Matthew (Melissa Allen) Dorow, and Laura (Chris Holmes) Dorow; her great-grandchildren, Madeline, Masen, Bentley and Lilah; her siblings, Paul (Julie) Leuthold of Bellingham, WA. and Wayne (Ingrid) Leuthold of South Bend, IN; nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends. Preceding Susan in death are her parents Myles and Frieda Leuthold and two brothers James Leuthold and Thomas Leuthold.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday May 18, 2018 at 12:00pm at Poklasny Funeral Home 870 West South Park Avenue Oshkosh, WI 54902 with Father William Van De Kreeke officiating. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their deep gratitude to the staff at Aurora Hospital, Aurora Hospice, as well as the staff at Bethel Home for their care and kindness.
