Terence G. Fletcher's Obituary
Terence (Terry) Gene Fletcher, age 80 of Oshkosh passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 23rd, 2023, at his home. Terry was born to the late Gene W. and Valeria A. (Wied) Fletcher on November 13th, 1942, in New London. He served in the U.S. Army after graduating from New London High School. He met his first wife while on leave in Spain and they moved to the U.S. After leaving the service he became employed at Bergstrom Paper Company which eventually changed to Glatfelter's. He retired from Glatfelter's Paper Mill after more than 40 years. Terry loved to build model ships and work on puzzles. He also enjoyed his many trips to Spain to see family. Terry was a huge animal lover and adored his two cats Minnie and Friday, he also donated to the Oshkosh Humane Society on a monthly basis.
Terry is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Mark) Hardell, Neenah; his sister Marilyn (Gene) Henry, Shelbyville, IN; sister-in-law, Prudy Fletcher, New London; his granddaughter's, Michelle (Tim) Cummings, Andover, MN; Nicole (Eric) Davidson, Neenah; Jennifer Fletcher, Menasha; Sarah Fletcher and boyfriend Alex Zeinert; great grandchildren, Austin, Skylar, Parker, Zaylee and Robin and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his ex-wife Bobi Langkau, and ex-daughter-in-law Mary Jo Fletcher both of whom he was still close with.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Steve and Leon, his wife Teresa and his sons Jose and Fernando.
Memorial service for Terry will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 2nd, 2023, at Fiss and Bills-Poklasny funeral home at 865 S. Westhaven Drive, Oshkosh, WI 54904. A time of visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Neenah, WI.
Terry will be deeply missed by his family, but we are comforted knowing that he will now be with his loved ones that preceded him in death.
