Theda L. Hazen's Obituary
Theda Laura Hazen of Oshkosh, age 99, passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on October 27, 2021. She was born November 7, 1921 in Green Bay, WI to Eugene and Laura Hunt. August 23, 1941 she married Bernard Hazen, who preceded her in death, and they raised 8 daughters. Also preceding her in death is 4 daughters: Barbara (John) Andrashko, Linda Ochowicz, Bonnie Laughter and Mary Miller. She is survived by her very special friend Elmer Frank, 4 daughters: Deanna Hazen, Donna (Hans) Jensen, Sandra (Jack) Miller and Patricia (Nick) Grose. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 12 great, great grandchildren.
She was a former employee of the Miles Kimball Company, a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, member of the Friends of the Seniors at the Oshkosh Seniors Center and former Secretary of the St. Vincent de Paul Society where she also volunteered at their store. For many years she was an avid bowler on the Senior Citizen League at Shoreview Lanes. She loved dancing, bingo, puzzles, coloring and playing cards.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Theda on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 1pm in Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Marys Catholic Church, corner of Merritt and Monroe Streets in Oshkosh with the Rev. Jerome Pastors as celebrant. A time of visitation will be held at the church from 11 am until the time of Mass. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park Cemetery.
Her laugh and her love will be missed and always remembered.
