Theodore L. Trinoskey's Obituary
Theodore “Ted” Trinoskey, age 73, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday morning, August 14, 2018. Born on January 8, 1945, the son of Verne and Burnice (Koepky) Trinoskey. Ted married Diana Safranski on August 6, 1966, in Denham, Indiana and they celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary just last week.
Ted was employed as a gear cutter at Rockwell for 30 years. When the plant shut down in Indiana in 1983, Ted was offered a position in Oshkosh. He and Diana made the courageous decision to leave their small hometown in North Judson, Indiana with all of their friends and family and move to Oshkosh, Wisconsin. As difficult as it was for them to leave, they wanted their three kids to be able to have more opportunities in life. He retired from Rockwell on January 22, 1995.
Ted loved baseball and most days after work he could be found on a baseball diamond. Through the years he coached, umpired or could be found maintaining the fields. He not only always wanted to make sure that the field was ready to go for play but more importantly safe for the kids too by removing stones or filling in holes.
Ted was also a passionate fisherman. He especially enjoyed going out going to his favorite spot out a Ma’s. He also was a huge Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Indiana University College Basketball fan. He and Diana especially loved watching “March Madness” together and he would keep track of his NCAA bracket (and everyone else’s) and usually win with the most correct picks of the family.
Survivors include his wife Diana, children, Dawn (Tom) Makurat, Todd (Christie) Trinoskey & Tami (Jooyup) Lee. Also the joys of his life, his grandchildren Andy, Kyle & Ryan Makurat and Bodi & Lu Lee. He is also survived by his brother Chuck (Lynn) Trinoskey and sisters, Margaret Trinoskey and Barbara (James) Clemons: a sister-in-law, LuAnn (Randy) Glass and many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws and his twin sister Sue.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018, at 5:00 pm in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Oshkosh, Wisconsin. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Friday, from 2:00pm until the time of service. Interment will be at St Paul’s Cemetary in Denham, Indiana. In lieu of floral expressions, a memorial fund will be established.
