Thomas Neher's Obituary
Thomas John Neher, 39, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, passed away on July 21, 2025.
Thomas was born into this world struggling for life and proved many wrong with his strength, courage, and determination. He grew into a man whose presence brought light, humor, and heart to everyone who knew him. Thomas was fiercely loyal, endlessly funny, and deeply loved by his family and chosen brothers.
He was a proud graduate of Oshkosh West High School, and over the years, he worked a variety of jobs—spending many years at Goodwill—but he was especially proud of his most recent position at Amcor, where he found a renewed sense of purpose and pride.
Thomas is survived by his parents, Linda and Gary Jolly, and Tom and Nancy Neher; his siblings, MacKensie Jolly, Andrew Kopsi, Amy Formanek, and Andrew Formanek; and his brothers from another mother: Terrance Schroeder, Aaron Gray, Kevin Curtis, and Tony Zuge. He is also lovingly remembered by his special friends, Anne Van Laarhoven and Heather Tessenair.
He is survived by numerous aunts and uncles, some of whom live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Thomas was preceded in death by his grandfather, his aunt, and his beloved brother, Michael Jolly.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Thomas’s life will be held on August 2, 2025, at 2 pm at Poklasny Funeral Home 870 W. South Park Ave. Oshkosh, Wisconsin 54902. Visitation on August 2, 2025 from 12 pm until the time of service.
Though his time here was far too short, Thomas made an unforgettable impact. His spirit, strength, and love will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
"You are my sunshine."
In Lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.
