Thomas F. Roblee's Obituary
Thomas "Tom" F. Roblee, a man of great character and service, peacefully passed away on March 5, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of unwavering commitment to his community and a profound impact on those who knew him. A proud Vietnam veteran, Tom served his country with honor and dignity, embodying the principles of duty and sacrifice. Following his naval service, Tom dedicated himself to protecting his community as a firefighter/paramedic in Oshkosh. His commitment to service extended beyond the call of duty, as he served as Union President, advocating tirelessly for his fellow firefighters. Tom's faith was a guiding force in his life, evident in his active involvement with Sacred Heart Catholic Church and St. Raphael Catholic Church, where he served as a board member. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds, touching the lives of all who crossed his path. In addition to his service as a firefighter, Tom fulfilled duties assigned by the State of Wisconsin Department of Justice, demonstrating his lifelong commitment to public service. Tom believed in education and was a scholar at heart, with a deep love for history and a passion for learning. He approached life with patience and thoughtfulness, always eager to understand and engage with the world around him. With a love of music and a zest for life, Tom and Pat loved spending time with their family, visiting new places and celebrating friendships old and new.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife and high school sweetheart, Patricia, who was the love of his life. He is also survived by his children Danielle (Bob) Gattuso, Jessica (Frank) Vomacka, and Matthew (Sara) Roblee, and his cherished grandchildren: Michael, Nicholas, Tommy, Jack, Grace, Mikayla, and Sam.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Tom on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 12 noon in St. Raphael Catholic Church, 830 S. Westhaven Drive in Oshkosh with the Rev. Tom Long celebrating. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10 am until the time of Mass. Full military honors will be accorded by the United Veterans Honor Guard immediately following the Mass. Inurnment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Tom leaves behind a legacy of service, kindness, and dedication to his community. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Fisher House in memory of Thomas F. Roblee.
