Uriah Krebs' Obituary
Uriah William Krebs, age 37, of Oshkosh, WI passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012 in Watertown, WI. Uriah was born October 21, 1974 to Bill Krebs and Karen (Graumann Krebs) Emter in Watertown, WI. He grew up in Dickinson, ND and graduated from Dickinson High School. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the 101st Airborne division. He served three years and was stationed in Korea. Uriah was very proud of serving his Country. Upon completion of his active duty he served with the National Guard in Wisconsin for three years. Uriah was employed in various occupations in Oshkosh including Schwan's, Bergstroms and Oshkosh Truck. Uriah had a special connection to all people he met and his caring personality led him to become a CNA working with the elderly and as a job coach at Goodwill Industries. Uriah was an avid techno music fan and all who knew him will remember his love of dancing. His greatest joy in life was watching his children grow. Uriah befriended every person and animal he ever met. Uriah's gregarious personality endured him to many and he was often referred to as "larger than life". Religion was very important to Uriah. He was baptized at St. Marks Lutheran church in Watertown, WI He was confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran church in Dickinson. In his adult life he studied all aspects of religion and could quote many passages of the Bible. Uriah is survived by his wife Jennifer. His daughters Taygan and Janessa. His step-children Jayden and Julia. His parents, step-mother Sandy and step-father Dennis Emter. His in-laws Julie (Jeff) Kraemer and Steve (Tammy Cherro) Philipps. His sister Tyra (Brian) Wanner, step-sister Dawn (Joey) Shantz, step-brothers Jeff (Kandyce) Fraser and Andrew Fraser. Nieces, nephews Mathew Emter, Avery and Aftan Wanner, Hayli and Joseph Fraser and Peyton and Gavin Schantz. Sister-in-law Jacqui (Micheal) Schmidt and Shea Philipps. Brother-in-law Jonah Kraemer. Many uncles, aunts, cousins, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his loving grandmother Lorraine Wollenburg. His grandfathers Percy Krebs and Virgil Wollenburg. His grandparents Garfield and Florence Graumann. His cousin Trent Graumann. Memorial services will be held on Friday October 5, 2012 at 11am at the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home @ 865 S. Westhaven Drive. Oshkosh, WI 54904. Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 10am until 11am. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up in Uriah's name at Choice Bank @ 2450 Witzel Ave. Oshkosh, WI 54904.
