Victor Anthony Bauer's Obituary
Victor Anthony Bauer, 94, of Oshkosh entered into the arms of the angels on January 23, 2023. He was born on July 9,1928. Our hearts are broken but he is once again reunited with those he missed that have gone before him.
Victor served his Country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Victor married Gloria Larsen on June 21, 1952. They were able to celebrate 70 years of marriage in June of 2022. Vic’s family was the true joy of his life. He tried to never miss a sporting event or special moment in any of his children’s, grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s lives. Everyone always knew how proud he was of his family and his face lit up when he talked about them. His sense of humor and our many memories of his interpretation of words or actions when playing games will be greatly missed. He was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. Vic was very kind and charming which led to him having many long-lasting friendships. Everyone who met Vic loved him.
Victor will be lovingly remembered by his wife Gloria and children, Jeff (Vicki) Bauer, Ron (Lynne) Bauer, Vicki (Al) Wenig and Sue Bauer and eleven grandchildren who he loved dearly, Andy (Rachael)Bauer, Kevin(Sarah)Bauer, Jeremy(Caroline)Bauer, Matthew Bauer, Melissa(Scott) Bergman, Megan(Nick) Lingvay, Bill(Kayla) Gengler, Alec and Lexi Hooyman and Aaron and Nicholas Bauer, nine great grandchildren, sister in law Carol Sobojinski and many other relatives.
Victor is preceded in death by his parents, sister Irma, brother Ervin, grandson Jonathan and many other loved ones.
Special thanks to Edenbrook of Oshkosh, Heartland Hospice, and Deb Montag for the loving care they gave to Vic.
We wish you were still here with us but are thankful for all the love you showed us. You loved us all so fully.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 28th at Most Blessed Sacrament (St Mary’s Site) in Oshkosh 605 Merritt Ave. A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 am with a service to follow.
