Virginia Gerhardt's Obituary
Virginia Gerhardt, age 94, born in 1922, of Oshkosh, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at home. She lived in Nenno then Marshfield, WI. Virginia married George Gerhardt just before WW II ended. The couple raised five children in Oshkosh; Pat, Kathy, Lorie, George and Mary. She was preceded in death by her husband George; her parents, Mary and John; her sisters, Flory and Jessie; their husbands, Jimmie and Kenny, and also by Dorothy and Red Lawler. Virginia was very active in the local Bahai Community. She will be remembered as a very loving, caring, self sacrificing woman.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. and Devotions at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 in the Poklasny Funeral Home, 870 W. South Park Ave. in Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for a memorial bench in her name along Lake Winnebago or to members of the Bahai Faith to the Bahai Fund.
