Virginia "Jean" Poeschl's Obituary
Virginia "Jean" Poeschl, age 87, of Oshkosh passed away on Monday afternoon January 4, 2016 at Eden Meadows. Jean was born in Oshkosh on May 19, 1928 the daughter of John and Clara (Lemberger) Kloiber. She married Francis Poeschl on August 7, 1948 at St. John's Catholic Church. She was a faithful member of St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart Church). She enjoyed gardening, reading, playing bingo and going to Oneida Casino. Jean is survived by her four children; Jerry (Kathy) Poeschl, Nancy (Mike) Mugerauer, Jan (Dave) Fendt all of Oshkosh and Sue (Jari) Boyce of Pickett. Six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Francis on December 17, 2006, one daughter Barb Gehrke, three sisters and one brother. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 10am at St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart Church on the corner of 6th & Knapp). Father Matt Simonar will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 4pm until 7pm with a prayer service at 7pm. at the Poklasny Funeral Home at 870 W. South Park Ave. Oshkosh, WI 54902. Visitation will also be held at the church from 9am until the time of Mass. Committal services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Jean's name.
