Walter "Walleye" Stoneham's Obituary
Walter R. “Walleye” Stoneham, age 62, of Oshkosh, formerly of LaGrange, Illinois, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on February 13, 1952 in Illinois a son of the late Neill and Emilie (Baham) Stoneham. Walter will be remembered as being a “great” grandfather to his grandchildren and will also be remembered for being very outgoing and being able to make people laugh. He greatly enjoyed fishing and golf. In Wisconsin he was known as “Walleye” and in Illinois he was known as “Bidge”.
Survivors include two sons, John Stoneham of Plainfield, IL and Jim Stoneham of Oshkosh; a daughter, Jessica Stoneham of Plainfield, IL; a brother, James Stoneham of Tucson, AZ; a sister, Sandra Stoneham of Glencoe, IL; two grandchildren, Jack Tobin and Shaelyn Tobin. He is further survived by a nephew, Michael Stoneham; a niece, Nina Stoneham; other relatives and many very dear friends.
Per the families wishes, private family services will be held. The Fiss and Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family with arrangements.
