Wayne C. Coe's Obituary
Wayne Carl Coe passed away with his family by his side on February 18, 2025.
He was born in Milwaukee on July 6, 1940 to Orville and Erma Coe.
Wayne worked for Morgan Doors, Griese and Ross Construction, CR Meyer. He also worked at the Utica Golf Course as the “Lawn-Ranger”. He was an active member of the Elo Church of the Nazarene.
Wayne loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mowing lawn, fixing things and tinkering in the garage. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His face would light up when the littles were around.
He is proceeded in death by his parents; Orville and Erma Coe, sister; Nancy Trapp and brothers; Burton (Mick) Coe and Eugene Coe, and grandson Joseph Stadler.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Kriz Coe of 63 years. He is further survived by his daughter, Cindy, (Mike) Schaefer, grandchildren Alex Schaefer, great grandson Joseph Schaefer. Granddaughter Abby (Dillon) Lesicko, great grandchildren Olivia, Zoey, and Ozzy Lesicko.
Daughter, Sandy Coe (Darren Boyle), grandchildren, McKenzie Boyle and Jeremy Boyle.
He is also survived by his youngest sister, Shari (Dave) Dykstra, sisters-in-law, Barbara Coe and Beverly Coe, nieces, nephews and good friends; Ehrenberg’s, Heilke’s, and Peppler’s.
A memorial service, for Wayne, will be held on Saturday March 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Fiss & Bills- Poklasny Funeral Home (865 S. Westhaven Dr.). A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Saturday.
We would like to thank the staff at Oakwood Manor for their tender loving care for Wayne. They were like a second family, especially Sam, Megan, Bryce, Nucharee, Shelby, Nevaeh, Kenzie and Velvet.
We would also like to thank Moments Hospice staff, especially Kimberly, Becky and Erin for her beautiful music therapy. Wayne was so well cared for and loved by the staffs.
