Wendy Ann Klabunde's Obituary
Oshkosh – Wendy Klabunde, age 64, passed away at home on May 11, 2022 with her husband by her side. Wendy was born on October 29, 1957 in Oshkosh, WI to Wayne and Katie (Baker) Zastrow. She married Emil Klabunde on September 15, 1984 and they spent 37 wonderful years together. Wendy began working as a 911 dispatcher for the Winnebago County Sherriff’s Department in 1983, retiring as Office Administrator in 2008. After retirement, she kept busy working part time at Fleet Farm.
Wendy was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan. She loved camping with her husband in their motorhome and spending winters in Texas.
Wendy is survived by her loving husband, Emil; one brother, Michael Zastrow; two sisters, Julie (Andy) Bosch and Christine (Dan) Boushley, and her fur-baby Jasper. She is further survived by her step-daughter, Melissa Friday, her step-son's widow, Angie Klabunde, step-grandkids Brittany and Billie Klabunde, Jordan Friday and Taylor (Dillan) Friday Crusch, and step-great grandchild Tallon (TJ) Klabunde. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-son Tim Klabunde.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 12 noon at the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home at 865 S. Westhaven Drive. Oshkosh, WI 54904. Rev. Lee Tracy will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 am until the time of service.
