William Morris' Obituary
William H Morris, age 95, of Pickett, died Wednesday October 26, 2016 at Bethel Home in Oshkosh. He was born in Oelwein IA., on August 16, 1921 the son of the late Edwin and Rose Johnson Morris. Bill married Clarice Hunt in 1944 in Oelwein IA. and were married for 59 years. She preceded him in death. Throughout his professional career Bill was employed as a professor at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh until the time of his retirement. Bill was very supportive of the Oshkosh Area Humane Society.
Bill is survived by by two daughters; Ruth Trieglaff, AZ., Sylvia (Roger) Bongert, Oshkosh, three grandchildren; Noel (David) Phelps, Kimberly (Mark) Stevenson, Ross (Chelsea) Bongert, eight great-grandchildren.
In keeping with Bill’s wishes no formal funeral services will be held.
His family wishes to thank the staff at Bethel Home, and Affinity hospice.
A memorial has been established to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society.
