William R. "Randy" Wertz's Obituary
William (Randy) Randolph Wertz, 79, of Oshkosh, WI passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022. Born September 11, 1942 in Washington D.C. He was the son of the late Carl James and Catherine Lorraine (Thompson) Wertz. Randy served in the United States Navy 1960-64. He worked for 30+ years in the foundry industry as a General Manager for Grede Foundries and Citation Corporation. Randy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joanne (Boesl) Wertz of Oshkosh, three sons, William (Nasrin) Wertz of Milwaukee, WI, Jack (Lisa)Wertz of Muskego, WI, and Richard Wertz of LaCrosse, WI two daughters, Heather Eldridge of Oconomowoc, WI and Nicole (Richard) Muller of New Milford, CT, a brother, Rick Wertz of Cincinnati, OH, a sister Linda (Don) Noes of Hamilton, OH and nine grandchildren, Jared, Mackenzie and Makayla Wertz, Jake Wertz, Delaney and Carrigan Eldridge and Michael, Jason and Matthew Muller. He was preceded in death by his brother Carl Robert Wertz, sister-in-law Cindy Wertz and granddaughter Natalie Wertz. Randy will be dearly missed. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was always willing to help anyone. In his honor, offer a kind gesture.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Randy on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 11 am in St. Raphael Catholic Church, 830 S. Westhaven Drive in Oshkosh with the Rev. Tom Long as celebrant. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9 am until the time of Mass. Full military honors will be accorded by the United Veterans Honor Guard immediately following the Mass. In lieu of floral expressions a memorial fund will be established.
