Yvonne Wurzbach Davidson's Obituary
Yvonne Wurzbach Davidson went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ on October 3, 2012.Yvonne was born March 6, 1924 in Waupaca, Wis. Her parents were Louis D.
Siebert and Ruby Bock Siebert. Yvonne was also preceded in death by her
brother Victor Siebert, and a sister Olene Schwirtz. She graduated from
'Waupaca High School in 1942. Her marriage to Otto F. Wurzbach was on
Oct. 3, 1943 and they had five children. Surviving Yvonne are her
children William F. Wurzbach (Mary), James L. Wurzbach (Peg), Mark D.
Wurzbach (Deanna) of Oshkosh, Rochelle M. Sell (Greg) of Appleton, Renee
Wurzbach Vail of St. Paul, MN and her brother Douglas Seibert (Phyllis)
Waukesha, WI. There are 10 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Otto
Wurzbach died Aug. 17, 1993.
On Sept 17, 1997 Yvonne married Arlen V. Davidson of Appleton. They
resided in Oshkosh and spent their 5 years of marriage traveling and
holding family gatherings. Arlen died on Feb. 6, 2003. He was survived
by Yvonne, three children from his first marriage, Randal, Linda and
Bradley (Jill) Davidson and grandchildren.
Yvonne worked as a bookkeeper at Basler Flight Service, Pluswood
Industries and with the Lake Winnebago Area Health Systems Agency. She
took early retirement in 1982 and enjoyed her family. She loved to read,
cook, music and especially to travel. She also sang with the Oshkosh
Cecilian Singers for a number of years and with church choirs prior to
that. She was a founding member of King of Glory Fellowship which later
became Grace Chapel and is now no longer active. Her greatest joy was
the weekly bible study at the local prison. Her involvement with Prison
Fellowship ministries kept her busy from 1986 to 2010. In 1987 she
started writing a book of Memories for her children. This started in
1959 with the annual Christmas letter and continued through a Life
History Class at the Senior Center and Life Stories Class through
Learning In Retirement at UWO.
Memorial services for Yvonne will be Friday, October 12, 2012 at 6:00 pm, in the Fiss and Bills Poklasny Funeral Home, the Rev Ben Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery in Weyawega. Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home, Friday fron 4pm until the time of services
