Yvonne C. Truax's Obituary
Yvonne Truax passed away peacefully at home on October 3, 2023, at the ripe old age of 100.
One of six children, Yvonne was born to Ed and Clara Moe on January 18,1923, at home in Clifton, WI. She outlived all five of her siblings along with her husband, Wayne, who died in 1990.
Thanks to the loving care of her son, Tom, she was able to live in her own home in Oshkosh as she aged. In her final days she was attended by both Tom and daughter, Tanya.
In addition to her two children, Yvonne is lovingly remembered by her son-in-law, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Yvonne lived a long, full life. A beautician and homemaker in her younger years, she mastered the baking of delicious homemade bread and pies .Her cooking of wonderful meals is a cherished memory of her family.
In her later years, she enjoyed her game shows and had a standing date every week with The Lawrence Welk Show. Throughout her life she was devoted to her family.
Yvonne’s life was filled with singing and music; her final hours were accompanied by old favorites by Perry, Bing, Frank, Patti and Tony.
Memories of her will forever be in our hearts.
Special thanks to Dr. Ammar Alzoubi and his staff for their kind, compassionate care over the last many years. Thanks also to Aurora At Home Hospice for their wonderful care in her final months of life. Also, thanks to the staff of Home Instead for their TLC to Yvonne.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice or your favorite charity. Graveside services planned at a later date.
