I worked with Tony for many years at Dave Yakim. Tony was someone you just immediately liked. Amazing smile, willing to listen & offer his opinion, a great dresser, overall a great guy. I was fortunate to run into Tony several times since we stopped working together. He was taken way TOO soon. Heaven got a good man. Thinking of Tony’s family & everyones life he touched. RIP Tony! You will be missed.
I worked with Tony for a number of years. Bought a couple vehicles from him. Hunted ducks with him, fished with him... I'll miss the random phone calls, at all hours of the day, about fishing and life in general. I'll miss my friend.
So sorry to hear of Tony’s sudden passing 😪. My late husband, Gregory Taylor loved his “baby brother”, and Tony was very hurt when he passed away suddenly in August of 2010. They had a lot in common, they were born salesmen and loved jazz music. I’m sure there are no words to say how much his loss is affecting the entire family. May God comfort and keep you all.
We were shocked and saddened to hear about Tony's passing. He had one of those personalities that....well, you just couldn't help but like him. One of the things that is keeping us smiling through this, is the thought of how Tonys eyes would get, that "look" he would give you when you said something he thought was crazy...just right before he would bust out laughing. It's "that look" that is bringing us some comfort right now.
T ~ thanks for your friendship. Rest in peace, buddy. Heaven just gained one hell of a drummer.
To the entire Taylor family, our deepest sympathy and love, JR & Tom
Tony and I met at UW-Oshkosh. Taylor(!) Hall basement had a music room with a piano. I often went down there to practice. Tony brought his drums and we would jam for hours, just playing tunes we knew. Stayed in contact through adult life, and he was our subdivision neighbor for a long time. A memorable day for us was when we purchased our daughter's first car from Tony. He surprised her by putting one of those huge red bows on the top of the car - just like those in the holiday commercials! Made her day and ours. He always had time to chat and catch up during his music gig breaks, always with his big smile to say hello. He will be missed. RIP, my fellow Titan friend. Michelle Hammett
Tony and I met in the middle of the Caribbean on a cruise. He was in the pool talking to somebody from the Midwest about the Bears and of course I started talking about the Packers and found out we lived only 20 minutes apart. We hung out quite a bit the rest of the trip go together a few times for cookouts and to watch a football game. Tony was the kind of guy II you met him you felt like you knew him forever. He had an infectious laugh and he drew people to him with his awesome sense of humor and general Love For Life. His son Seth was with him on this Cruise as well. It was nice to see how they interacted they were such a close father and son. He boasted about his grandchildren and sold lots of pictures to anyone who would look. My heart goes out to his family and everybody who loved him. I know he is looking down on us and I will always think of him when I see the Bears play. Rest in heaven my friend.
I am so sad. Tony was one of those people that you fall in love with as soon as you meet him. And one hell of a drummer, too!
