Arletta L. Schweda-Schulte's Obituary
Arletta L. Schweda-Schulte, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Westbrooke Manor, Oshkosh, 8 days prior to her 98th birthday. She was born in Mauston, WI on December 27, 1920 to the late Arthur and Loretta (Kane) Smith. As a child she moved to Kenosha, before moving to Wisconsin Dells in 1936, returning to Kenosha in 1982. She graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School class of 1939.
On September 13, 1941 she married George Schweda of Wisconsin Dells. He passed away in December of 1974. In November of 1982 she married Paul Schulte of Kenosha. He passed away in November of 2002.
Arletta worked many years at Parson’s Trading Post, the Hotel Crandall as a baker, and Camp Wawbeek of the Easter Seal Society. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and dominos.
Arletta is survived by two sons; Lawrence (Isabelle) Schweda of Oshkosh and Kenneth Schweda of Manitowoc, a step-daughter; Patricia Schmidt of Lady Lake, Florida, 6 grandchildren; Joseph (Karla), Daniel (Ruth), Timothy, James, Kelly, and Emily (Justin) Neese, a step-granddaughter; Erin Schmidt, 5 great grandchildren; Carolyn, Noah, and Faith Schweda, and Andrew and Joseph Neese, granddaughter-in-law; Lisa (Todd) and son Chase Jensen, special niece; Peggy (Mike) and their children Kayla, Zack, and Hannah Hylinski, and many friends and extended relatives (Werve and Schulte).
She was preceded in death by her 2 husbands; George Schweda and Paul Schulte, 2 grandchildren; Andrew and Laura Schweda, daughter-in-law; Karen Schweda, step son-in-law; Michael Schmidt, and 2 brothers; Edward (Mavis) Smith of Wisconsin Dells and Vernon (Irene) Smith of Kenosha.
The funeral service for Arletta will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 in Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home at 865 South Westhaven Drive Oshkosh, WI 54904. Deacon Rick Hocking will be officiating. A time of visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Dells on Friday, December 28, 2018.
