James Myron Wolff's Obituary
James M. Wolff, age 90, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. He was born on May 10, 1934 in Oshkosh, a son of the late Robert and Anna (Nichols) Wolff. Jim served his country in the US Air Force and married the former Mavis Gale Clark on September 29, 1956. Jim worked for and retired from Rockwell International after many years of service. He greatly enjoyed mentoring those with substance abuse issues, loved working outdoors and taught water aerobics at the YMCA for years. Grandpa will always be fondly remembered by his grandkids for bumming around with them.
Jim is survived by and his memory will be cherished by his wife Gale of 68 years; a daughter, Kathy Wolff of Neenah; four sons, Jim (Carol) of Omro, Vince (Shelley), Mike, Steve, all of Oshkosh; two sisters, Mary Wolff and Janet Chappa. He is further survived by five grandchildren, Derek (Kelley) Wolff ,Brett (special friend Montana) Wolff, Kristina Spannbauer, Jenna (Ben) Konruff, Nathan (Abby) Spannbauer; seven great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by siblings, Bob, Betty, Curt, Larry, Ken and Ricky; a daughter-in-law, Linda Wolff.
A time of visitation will be held at the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Drive in Oshkosh on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 10:00 am until 12 noon at which time the family will proceed to Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery for a 12:30 pm burial service along with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, a number of memorials will be established in his name.
