Lawrence "Larry" Loechler's Obituary
Lawrence Donald Loechler
On April 1, 2016, Lawrence “Larry” Loechler, entered into Eternal Life and into the arms of God the Father.
Larry was born on August 9, 1935, to the parents of Laurence and Viola Loechler.
On May23, 1959, he married Carole Kenfield. Together with their children, Jami and Machelle(Shelly) they
resided in several states, as Larry proudly served his
Country in the U.S. Marines.
After Larry’s retirement from service the Loechlers returned to Oshkosh, where Larry obtained a Bachelor
and Masters Degree from the UW-Oshkosh. Larry was
Employed as the Director of Housing in Fond Du Lac
for several years.
Larry fought a courageous battle with cancer the last
three years. However, he continued to enjoy “life”
Playing golf, volunteering at the Veterans Military Museum, Packer parties with friends and his weekly trips to the library as he was an avid reader. His faith, determination and positive attitude was admired by family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Carole, children, Jami, and
Machelle(Robert)Beede; grandchildren, Machelle (Mika)
Gifford, Daniele (Jason) Ebert, Mary Anne Beede, Stefanie
(Jess) Leach); Brother,William(Jennifer) Loechler; Sister,
Jeannine (Warren) Rogers; Great Grand Children, Madison Young, Madix Young, Jayden Ebert, Kenedee Ebert, Jaida Beede, Jordan Leach, Alyson Leach, Tristan Gifford, Sydney Gifford; Sister-in-laws, Georgiann Lamberson, Janet(Al) Schaick, and Marilyn Loechler.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Laurence and
Viola Loechler, brothers; Robert and Hubert Loechler ;
Brother-in-laws, Walter Kenfield and Gerry Lamberson.
Larry will be remembered as a Proud Marine, loving Father and grandfather, and friend to many He will
be sadly missed. (Precious in the sight of the Lord is
the death of His Saints, Psalm 116:15)
Funeral services for Larry will be Wednesday April 6,2016 at 11:30 am in the Fiss and Bills Poklasny Funeral Home, Jason Brenenstuhl officiating. Burial will be in Ellenwood Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home Wednesday from 9:30am until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
