Lawrence "Larry" Poeschl's Obituary
Lawrence “Larry” Poeschl, age 79, of Oshkosh passed away on Sunday morning March 6, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. Larry was born in Oshkosh on April 3, 1942 the son of Erwin and Theresa (Biesinger) Poeschl. Larry married Carol Demler on August 17, 1963 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oshkosh. Larry was a faithful member of St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart Church) in Oshkosh. Larry was a Oshkosh Police Officer for many years, he retired as a Top Sargent with OPD.
Larry is survived by his son, Mark Poeschl of Oshkosh, his brother Robert Poeschl of Oshkosh and one sister, Wendy (Fred Harris) Mitchell of Fremont, WI.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carol on August 16, 2018 and one son, Curt on January 11, 2020.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 11 am at St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart Church on the corner of 6th & Knapp). Father Louis Golamari will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9 am until the time of Mass. Private committal services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers memorials should be directed to either the Oshkosh Humane Society at 1925 Shelter Ct. Oshkosh, WI 54901 or to St. Jude Parish at 1025 W. 5th Ave. Oshkosh, WI 54902
