Lorraine Rose McKone's Obituary
Lorraine Rose McKone, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Arborview Manor in Oshkosh, WI. She was born on April 19, 1933 a daughter of the late Henry and Theresa (Koelbl) Zeimet. Lorraine married Robert McKone on June 2, 1956. Robert preceded her in death in 1998. She had worked for the Miles Kimball Company and 4Imprint for many years as well as volunteering at the Saint Vincent De Paul store. An avid gambler, she loved to hit the casinos to play bingo and slots. She loved to read and to go out for Friday night dinners with her friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Lorraine is survived by and her memory will be cherished by her children, Mary (Tim) Georgeson, Patrick (Dawn) McKone and Theresa (Ken) Hoelzel. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Ryan (Stephanie) Georgeson, Amber Georgeson, Scott Georgeson and Chad (Julie) Hoelzel; two great-grandchildren, Piper and Cora Georgeson, as well as nieces, Nancy Fumo and Ruth Imhoff and nephews, Paul and Robert Fuchs. She was preceded in death by her husband and brothers, Henry, Robert and Ralph, and sisters, Lucille and Elaine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Lorraine on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 10:00 am in St. Jude Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, corner of 6th and Knapp Streets in Oshkosh. The Rev. Louis Golamari will celebrate. Burial will be in Riverside Catholic Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9 am until the time of Mass. In lieu of floral expressions, memorials in her name may be made to St. Jude Parish Oshkosh, where they will be directed to youth activities. The family would like to thank the kind staff's of Arborview Manor and AseraCare Hospice for the warmth and compassion they gave Lorraine.
