I had the honor of caring for Marjorie at Mayberry Manor. From the moment she came through that front door I knew there was something special about her. For a woman over 90 years old, she amazed me with how strong she was. Determined too, and wanted to do as much for herself as she could. But what really touched my heart was her strength of character. She NEVER complained and was kind to everyone. Her sense of humor gave me many laughs. Her wisdom and wit often left me thinking long after I had gone home for the day. By looking around her room you could clearly see that she had touched many lives over the years, and that family was everything. I have spent over 30 years now taking care of people and never, have I ever seen such a devoted, loyal, dedicated, and loving family. They were there for Marj every single day. I thank them for sharing her with us and for also sharing stories and memories about her that made me laugh. Certainly, Marj has taught me that every day should be enjoyed and this lovely family has taught me to remember how precious life is and quickly it passes by. My deepest sympathy and hugs to all of you. She will be truly missed.
