My Dad had a number of enthusiasms over his lifetime that I admired-photography, gardening, dedicated and long-term volunteer work, genealogy, and others. This was his way of doing life-long learning and being engaged with life, which is important. His commitment to volunteer work up to the end of his life is something I am especially proud of. I strive to follow his example.

He and Mom strove to have us do our best and work hard. The gift of Catholic school education that they gave us is something that I have much appreciated over my lifetime.

Thank you, Dad, for showing us the way.
