I am good friends with his son Dave and would chat with him from time to time. He always had the cheerful glint in his eyes, and I could tell he was a good man. My heart aches for Dave, Lisa, and the rest of the family. Hang in there and know you have a lot of love and support behind you!
My memories of Mike revolve around our high school days at Lourdes and wonderful summer days spent at my family home on Lake Winnebago. He always had a smile, sometimes it would morph into a slight smurk, but he was always genuine. He introduced me to water skiing and really fast motorcycle rides! Can't remember the type of bike he had but once he took me "flying" over the railroad tracks at Murdock and Harrison street. I screamed and asked him how fast we were going. With that smurk he said "100 mph"! He was a love to my sister, a close friend to my brother and a wonderful and important part of our family. But most of all he was a loving dad to his beautiful kids, David and Lisa. My heart goes out to all of his loving family. He was a wonderful part of my life.
May the warmth of your father's memories bring you comfort and the promise of life eternal bring you peace during this difficult time. I am praying for you and your family,
