A few years back I got to share a wonderful evening with my grandma driving up to Appleton to see a performance of The Sound of Music at the PAC. After a car ride of chatter, and a stunning musical performance, we got to the song Edelweiss. As I drank in the poignant lyrics full of wistful beauty, I turned to see Grandma Sally tearing up. I took her hand and got to enjoy a blessed moment of us both connecting deeply with the music. Forever when I hear the song will I think of her and that moment. Love you grandma.
