So many lovely memories of dear Stephie! Hard to imagine no more visits to Oakwood Lane. We loved her. Rest In Peace dear friend.
Stephanie and I shared a baby carriage (hers) at Oakwood in the summer of 1939. That was the beginning of a lifelong friendship. She welcomed our family to Oakwood every summer and she and I spent our summer days together for 18 years. We stayed in touch for the next 50 years with letters and visits. Her friendship and love were the main reasons I moved back to Oshkosh seven years ago after many years in Canada. I live at Evergreen where I can see a number of Stephanie's paintings chosen by Evergreen to decorate the new buildings. And I have one very special watercolor that she painted for me. I feel as if she will always be here in spirit to keep me company.

Stephanie's mother once told me that a yellow rose signifies remembrance. So I chose a yellow candle to remember Stephanie. We had so many wonderful times together and she will be missed a whole lot by Bill and me.
