Verna was always smiling and happy to see everyone when we would meet. She was a wonderful person to be around. I could see she was a great mother and wife. That's how I will always remember her.
Loving grandmother. . She always enjoyed her grandchildren

I remember when Rodney Schmidt and I first started dating 16 years ago, and Rodney took me to his Grandma Pauline's house where I met his Aunt Verna for the first time. She was so welcoming and immediately wanted to know all about me. Rodney and I were not even engaged yet and she was already asking me questions about how many kids I wanted and what I wanted to do with my life. She made me feel like I was part of the family. Every time that Rodney and I saw Aunt Verna, she had a smile on her face and a big hug for us! She was fun to talk with and such a sweet person. She will be missed by her whole family and all of her friends. Rodney and I want to send our condolences to all of her children and siblings during this difficult time. Our thoughts are with you all.
Sincerely,
Rodney and Aimee Schmidt
The Steinbecker's from Texas send their deepest condolences. Aunt Verna will be dearly missed.
We went to church with Verna for a number of years in Neenah. Knew her Mom and most of her family. Verna was one of the sweetest women you would ever want to meet. Always so friendly and a ready smile for us!!! Sorry to hear of your loss! We are in Arizona so we will miss the funeral service, but our thoughts will be with you!
