Verna Mae Steinbecker's Obituary
Verna Mae Steinbecker, age 75, of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. She was born on May 10, 1940 in Illinois a daughter of the late Harold and Pauline (Atkinson) Jeske. She was married to Robert Lee Steinbecker. He preceded her in death on November 10, 1998. Verna Mae greatly enjoyed crocheting blankets for children. She also enjoyed caring for and spending time with her grandchildren and "Tiger" and going to church.
She is survived by and her memory will be cherished by four sons, Jerry (Terri) of Thomaston, GA, Brian of Oshkosh, Bruce (Gretchen) of Manitowoc and Troy of Tennessee; two daughters, Denise (Rich) Genett of Eldorado and Brenda Vigil of New London; two brothers, Victor Jeske of Green Bay and Lloyd (Rose) Jeske of Appleton; five sisters, Ruth Jeske of Appleton, Rosanne Hendzel of Green Bay, Barb (Pat) Wilz of Neenah, Audrey Schmidt of Green Bay and Bonnie (Jim) Barber of GA. She is further survived by eleven grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren,nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Funeral services for Verna Mae will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 in the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Dr. in Oshkosh. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah. A memorial fund will be established.
